Why give to the YSO? The Wichita
Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization and relies
on contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations to account for
75% of our total income each year!
Some interesting facts about the YSO:
The YSO is the only organization of its kind in the north Texas area serving students in Wichita Falls and many surrounding counties, as well as southern Oklahoma up to Lawton
Our student musicians come from over 25 schools in the regional area
Coaches come from Midwestern State University, the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and schools in the Wichita Falls area
YSO concerts are free of charge to the public, making donor support even more important
Without your support we could not:
Offer personalized sectional coaching to our students during all rehearsals
Hold two concerts each year that are free of charge to the public
Provide our top students the opportunity to play alongside professional musicians in the apprentice program
Bring in guest artists to educate our students through performance clinics and workshops
